The SGMF Emerging Markets Equity Fund (“the Fund”) removed Aikya Investment Management’s (“Aikya”) Global Emerging Markets strategy, J O Hambro Capital Management’s (“JOHCM”) Global Emerging Markets strategy, and Robeco Asset Management’s (“Robeco”) Emerging Markets Focused Equity strategy.

Rationale

This change marks the next phase of SEI’s evolution to improve client outcomes and value. Our traditional investment approach has combined industry-leading internal investment capabilities with select third-party specialists to deliver superior risk-adjusted returns after fees. In a natural continuation of the successful equity implementation enhancements introduced in recent years, the Fund will transition towards being entirely managed by SEI’s internal Quantitative Investment Management (“QiM”) team (which currently manages approximately 70% of the Fund’s assets).

Global emerging markets offer a broad and diverse opportunity set across distinct countries, sectors, and thousands of companies. QiM’s quantitative process is well placed to evaluate the full breadth of this investment universe, while maintaining diversification and risk controls. Additionally, consolidating implementation gives QiM greater control over portfolio construction and risk management while reducing implementation costs.
